Privacy Policy – Infinite Possibilities

Welcome. Here’s the straight-up version of what we collect, why we do it, and how we treat your data like we’d want ours treated—respectfully and responsibly. No fluff. No dodgy fine print.

Who We Are

We’re Infinite Possibilities—led by Brydon Davidson, a tax-slinging, business-savvy Kiwi committed to helping small business owners thrive (and survive). This site is built to educate, challenge, and support real people building real businesses in the real world.

Comments

If you leave a comment (cheers, by the way), we collect what you type, along with your IP address and browser info to help keep spam bots at bay.

We may also check whether you’re using Gravatar (that’s the service that shows your profile pic next to your comments). They use a hashed (anonymised) version of your email. You can check out their privacy policy here: https://automattic.com/privacy

Once approved, your comment and pic will be visible to others. Don’t post anything you wouldn’t want your mum (or future clients) to see.

Media

If you upload images—especially photos—avoid including location data (EXIF GPS). Other visitors can download and extract that info. Don’t accidentally give away your home address just because you like a good selfie.

Cookies

Yes, this site uses cookies. The digital kind. Not the choc-chip kind.

  • If you comment, you can choose to save your name, email, and website in a cookie. Handy for next time. These last a year.

  • Visiting the login page? We’ll drop a temporary cookie to check if your browser can handle it. It vanishes when you close the browser.

  • If you log in, we’ll set cookies to remember your login and screen preferences. These last a couple of days to a couple of weeks, depending on your settings.

  • Publishing or editing content? Your browser might hold a cookie with the post ID. That one’s gone in 24 hours.

Embedded Content from Other Sites

We might include stuff like YouTube videos, social posts, or other articles. These behave like you visited that other site directly. That means they might collect your data, use cookies, or track your interaction—especially if you’re logged in on their platform.

We don’t control that, so check their privacy policies if you’re worried.

Who We Share Your Data With

We don’t flog your data to advertisers or dodgy third parties. The only time your data is shared is if:

  • You request a password reset (your IP gets included in that reset email).

  • We’re legally required to (e.g. the taxman or law enforcement—but they’d better have a warrant).

How Long We Keep Your Data

If you comment, the comment and its metadata stick around—indefinitely. That way, we can auto-approve your future comments instead of babysitting the moderation queue.

If you create an account, we store your info in your user profile. You can see, edit, or delete your data anytime (except your username, sorry—pick wisely). Admins can see and tweak your info too.

Your Data, Your Rights

You can request a copy of the personal data we hold about you. You can also ask us to delete it. The only exceptions? If we’re legally required to keep it for admin, tax, or security reasons.

To request data or deletion, contact: [Insert appropriate contact email]

Where Your Data Goes

Comments may be run through a spam detection service (robots, not interns). That’s it.

In Plain English

We don’t collect more than we need. We don’t sell your data. We don’t like spam any more than you do. This site exists to help—not to harvest personal info for profit.

If anything here worries you, ask. If you don’t like it, don’t use the site. But if you stick around, we assume you’re OK with how we roll.
